Our offices are located in Fornebu and Ålesund, with the logistics base and product warehouse in Montevideo, Uruguay. We are about 500 employees globally, of which about 430 work on board our krill vessels in Antarctica. Vessel Manager
Are you a structured, responsible and experienced professional who seeks development opportunities within a global growing company?
As our Vessel Mager you will be the supporting resource on shore and keep communications between the vessels and the operations office to its best. You will be securing vessels technical conditions and plan and execute shipyard stay. You will also work with business cases, vessel improvements, vessel budgets, and report on KPI's, technical issues and budget. We are looking for a person with high technical competence in marine operations with a desire for an onshore career.
Mail responsibilities:
- Being key contact for all vessel technical matters
- Ensure that vessel(s) comply with class rules and regulations as well as company standards.
- Being informed about production, crew and harvesting related matters.
- Plan, present and keep budget with vessel(s)
- Plan and execute shipyard stay.
- Responsible for ensuring that insurance claims are handled correctly
- Build and maintain “idea bank” (Trello) for vessel improvements including suggestions for business cases.
- Assist all vessel operation departments when needed.
- Keeping contact with the local agencies wherever in the world the vessel(s) enters.
- Securing that the risk matrix is held updated at all times.
- Securing and that critical spare parts are at a sufficient level and that spare parts strategy is overheld.
Qualifications
- We would like you to have some years of relevant work experience.
- Fluent in English both verbal and written.
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office tools, preferable trained in TM Master and Shipadmin.
- Preferable technical or nautical education.

About Aker QRILL Company:
We develop ingredients for use in aquaculture and animal feed markets, as well as deliver raw materials for production of human health supplements. Our value chain stretches from our vessels and sustainable krill harvesting operations in Antarctica, through our logistics hub in Montevideo, and all the way to customers around the world.
The Company operates a fleet of four vessels, including one cargo vessel and three fishing vessels, leading krill fishing within the Antarctic region.
