Operation Manager

As our Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our offshore fleet, ensuring efficient and compliant vessel operations. This role involves close collaboration with the SVP Vessel Operations and other stakeholders to achieve operational excellence. You will on a daily basis lead vessel operations through continuous dialog with Captains and shore-based Offshore team, and always stay on top of fishing, production and offshore logistics. 

Key Responsibilities

• Assist SVP Offshore Operations in creating operation plans, shift arrangements, transshipment plans, timelines, and schedules.
• Identify potential risks and challenges in vessel operation, register, communicate, and mitigate. 
• Facilitate communication among stakeholders, including team members and vendors. 
• Schedule and organize operation meetings, prepare agendas, and maintain meeting minutes. 
• Daily communication with vessel Captains and other relevant personnel onboard. 
• Monitor compliance with international maritime regulations and company policies. 
• Assist HSE department in development and implementation of emergency response plans and procedures for vessel operations. 
• Analyze operational data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Qualifications

• Navigational, Technical or offshore operational education at Bachelor level or higher
• Fluent English written/spoken a requirement. 
• Experience from maritime operations, vessel management or operation management

About Aker QRILL Company:

We develop ingredients for use in the aquaculture and animal feed markets, as well as deliver raw materials for production of human health supplements. Our value chain stretches from our vessels and sustainable krill harvesting operations in Antarctica, through our logistics hub in Montevideo, and all the way to customers around the world.
