Position: Accounting Specialist

About the position:

As the main point of contact for accounts payable and receivable, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations of Aker QRILL Company — including invoice processing, payments, bank reconciliations, and follow-up of outstanding balances.

At the same time, you’ll gain exposure to a broader set of accounting tasks such as payroll support, VAT reporting, fixed asset accounting, and monthly closing activities. This is a hands-on position that offers a great learning environment for someone who’s detail-oriented, eager to grow, and wants to understand the full scope of an accounting function in practice.

The position is a perfect next step for the candidate who wants to learn and develop skills and accounting and reporting. While primary scope will be related to invoice processing, bank statement reconciliation and accruals booking, you will have an opportunity to learn other areas like salary, VAT, fixed assets and many more.

Responsibilities:

• AP/AR/Bank follow-up:

• Invoice processing (ensure correct accounting, VAT, cost center etc)
• Following up approval process, ensuring completeness and timely approval
• Invoice payment, creating remittance files, ensure timely payment
• Following up incoming payments
• Full bank statement reconciliation
• Ad hoc payment processing

• Involved in Fixed assets and Inventory booking and reconciliation

• Involved in intercompany reconciliation

• Participate in annual reporting, tax calculations, audit and other projects – upon interest and availability

• Maintain proper documentation, reconciliations and process descriptions

• Relevant education
• Previous working experience is considered beneficial but not prerequisite for this position, we will facilitate comprehensive onboarding program
• Fluent Norwegian and English

• We develop ingredients for use in the aquaculture and animal feed markets, as well as deliver raw materials for production of human health supplements. Our value chain stretches from our vessels and sustainable krill harvesting operations in Antarctica, through our logistics hub in Montevideo, and all the way to customers around the world.
